We are going to start talking about the elections this week.  There are at least 5 people who want to be President of the United States!  Can you name 2 of them?  Look at the signs next to the roads.  What jobs are they advertising?  (Don’t tell me who your parent may vote for!)

It’s baseball playoff time!  The Rays and the Red Sox are playing while I type this.  They’re tied in the 5th inning.  The Phillies have beaten the Dodgers twice!  Do you like baseball?  What is your favorite team?  What is the name of the series that the winners play next?  This is fun!

Have you ever been to a fire house?  I wonder if the firefighers still slide down poles inside the fire house!  Did you ever wonder why firefighters started keeping dalmations?  Do they still have them?

We’ve been talking about how important it is to listen to someone else read to us.  My brother loved to hear our mom read Dr. Seuss’s Gerald McBoing Boing…over and over again!      What is a story that you love to hear your Mom or Dad read to you?
